Choppy Sentences
Fix short, choppy sentences by answering the 5 W’s and H (Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?)
Sentence: "She plays with her friends."
- Who? "Mary plays with her friends."
- What? "Mary’s plays basketball with her friends."
- Where? "Mary plays basketball with her friends at the school gym."
- When? "Every Saturday afternoon, Mary plays basketball with her friends at the school gym."
- Why? "Every Saturday afternoon, Mary plays basketball with her friends at the school gym for exercise and fun."
- How? "Every Saturday afternoon, Mary plays basketball enthusiastically with her friends at the school gym for exercise and fun."
**Be careful not to overdo it. A variety of sentence length is important too.
