IDIOM - To "fall off the face of the earth"
IDIOM - To "fall off the face of the earth":
"To disappear/vanish off the face of the earth" (British, American & Australian), also "to fall off the face of the earth" (American).
It means to disappear completely.
Ex:
"We lost contact with Ed after he left college - he just fall off the face of the earth."
